Lucido-L: Crowning Glory at its best!

Hair? Oh come on! We girls shouldn't be questioned why we're pretty much obsessed with it. Hair coloring, rebonding, curling - you name it we did it! That's how we roll. :) But because of it, we tend to damage our hair, thus making it hard to bring back the shiny smooth hair we once had back then.

Dry, flat, limp hair. Oh! How I wish I can repair it in just a matter of seconds! Is that possible? Tell me! Tell me, now! *justkidding

In any way possible, can mine turn like this? Pretty please? Btw, she's using Lucido-L Curling milk here. Beautiful, right?

Thanks to fashion blogger Tricia Gosingtian (photo above) for sharing this product, namely, Lucido-L. A Japanese hair styling brand, and yes, we know Japanese girls have this long sleek hair that I, well, personally envy. Oops!

I'm really eyeing the Lucido-L Hair Make Supplement Treatment Oil Straight, a variant that targets extra dry hair due to damages caused by rebonding/coloring and of course, the one that I'd first want the moment I laid my eyes on it, is the Lucido-L Hair Make Supplement Styling Milk Curl, just because I love to have beautiful fluffy curls, plus, it's also heat protectant. How cool is that? I do believe it's never too late to have stunning tresses. I hope I can try their products sooooon! :)

Thanks to Ms. Tricia Gosingtian for letting us borrow her photos. Check out her blog here. :)

Review: Estee Lauder Blush All Day in Desert

I didn't expect I would love my skin being this tanned. I actually thought that I'm toasted, but my sister said, "Anong toasted? Roasted kamo!" (Toasted? Roasted it is!) :D Oh well, whatever -ted it is, I so love my color right now. Anyway, let's proceed to my review of EL blush. This is, for the nth time, my sister's thingy, but I'm the one who's using it just because my roasted skin loves it. So here it is.

The brush included is scratchy, but then I prefer using my trusty Marionnaud blush brush

A matte dusty rose-brown color that looks so natural specially for morenas.

when swatched

I personally disliked this during my fair skin days, lol. But as of the moment, I really really love how it suits my dark skin. A natural flush of color is all I need since having this complexion really can't make blushes show that much. Plus point is how completely matte it is. I recommend this for morenas out there looking for that natural glow. Not so bold, yet not so boring. Likey! :)

Pros:
  • decent staying power
  • matte for that natural look
  • unique shade
  • sheer (perfect for lazy girls like me- talk about blending this and that :D)
  • though it's sheer with one swipe, color can be intensified with few swipes w/o looking cakey
  • sturdy little packaging (easily tossed in any purse!)
  • non-acnegenic, fragrance-free and Dermatologist-tested

Cons:
  • not so pigmented (you need to swipe few times to get the desired pop of color you want)
  • brush included is useless

Review: Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Soft Matte Bronzer

Another bronzer post girlas! My sister has this for a long time, that she lost it and thank God found it. Here it is.

See the shimmers at the bottom?

when blended

I think the shade is much more suitable for dark skinned girls as it looks a little muddy on me. But with a light hand, you can make it work and definitely look good. Though it's not completely matte as the name claims, the shimmers are not that obvious when swatched on the skin. So far, I would say it's a good bronzer. But I wouldn't buy it for myself because of the hefty price tag. :D

Pros:
  • gives a nice bronzy skin that's not flat
  • the shimmers are not that obvious, but it provides a little glowy finish
  • buildable and nice to work with
  • long wearing
  • dermatologist-tested

Cons:
  • expensive for $30 or P1,260
  • not completely matte
  • can get a little muddy if applied heavily

Review: Monea Curl Defining Milk

Been using this since last year, and I think it's about time to share my raves and rants about this certain product.

It's in a milky form that I find too runny, but still a good thing because it doesn't feel heavy on my hair.

My hair with Monea after removing curlers. Yes, I sleep with them. :)

I actually like this product than the Syoss Airy Curl Cream (review here) because of 1. It can hold the curls even the day after; 2. Doesn't make my hair feeling heavy; and 3. It's cheaper than the latter. I find myself reaching for this more often than the airy curl cream, especially for a long day ahead. I'm glad I bought this one, though for some disadvantages, too much application can make your hair a little bit coarse and sticky. Just be careful, though.

Pros:
  • holds curls for 12+ hours
  • doesn't feel heavy on the hair
  • a lot of product so a little goes a long way
  • cheap for P98.00
  • available locally

Cons:
  • too much can make hair rough and sticky

Crochet Tops

Last year, I was so into crochet shorts that I rummaged plenty of stores to find one. And history repeats itself I guess. Now I'm so into crochet tops and luckily, I scored one in SM. Yipee! Anyhoo, here are some crochet tops that I'm currently digging.

Review: Banana Boat Sunscreen Lip Balm

Hi guys! Just got from a short vacation in Coron, Palawan. Anyway, since it's summer already, and beach bumming is coming our way, I'm gonna share a precious little thingy I got before we flew to Palawan. Check this out!

Banana Boat Lip Balm, Aloe Vera with Vitamin E, is very water resistant and moisturizes and soothes dry chapped lips. This ultra-sheer formula with AvoTriplex technology protects in 3 ways: 1. Against sunburn with high UVB protection; 2. Against the effects of aging and long-term skin damage with high UVA protection; and 3. Lasts longer than ordinary sunscreens since it doesn't break down.

I must say I'm so impressed with this product. Really made my puckers so soft and um, kissable? Heee! Plus, it has SPF 30 which is a MUST-HAVE this summer. It also has Aloe Vera and Vitamin E for ultimate regeneration. And what I love the most is that it's water resistant! Who wouldn't love that? I definitely recommend this. Go try it!

Pros:
  • makes lips soft and smooth
  • with SPF 30 for ultimate sun protection
  • very water-resistant
  • super affordable for P80.00
  • cute, fuss-free packaging

Cons:
  • the only thing that I don't like is that it doesn't glide easily on my lips. You have to put some effort to make it stick on. :D

Review: Etude House Bronze Skin Maker

Sorry for the long hiatus, guys! Anyway, as summer is fast approaching, I thought I might share a must-have product (especially for tanned girls out there!) to make your tan pop more! Check this out!

I got the Shade 1 in Pink Brown btw, and thanks to my cousin, Zabrina, who gave this to me! :)

 L: Bronzer; R: Base

 L-R: Bronzer, Base, Mixed

Swatches

 Completely shimmery

As for my thoughts, I have a love-hate relationship with this product. Love, because it looks so natural on me, unlike other powder bronzers that I've tried which can look so obvious people know you put something on it. On the other hand, I kind of don't really like it because it's sometimes a little bit hard to blend. You really need an ample amount of time to get the desired look/finish. Overall, if you're looking for a natural bronzer, you might want to try this. But if you're a matte fan, veer away from this. I'm telling you, the shimmers are reflective, but hey, it's summer! :)

Pros:
  • great for natural bronzed look
  • 2 products in one
  • doesn't cake
  • Base has a great amount (30ml), plus sunscreen- SPF 15 PA+
  • cute packaging
  • smells good! :)

Cons:
  • a little expensive for P628.00
  • bronzer has only 5ml (too small)
  • can be a tad bit hard to blend
